Pierre Celestin Niyomugabo

Pierre Celestin Niyomugabo is one of the Senior Advisors of The Result . He is a researcher, full-stack developer, and graphic designer; with proven experience in working with several institutions. He is currently serving as the CEO of VONSUNG, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of WIT Corporation, Universe Investment, Former CO/RPHC at the National Institute of Statistics of Rwanda (NISR), and Director of Career Development at ARCH Initiative. Celestin’s areas of research include health, epidemiology, sectoral analysis, and econometrics modeling. He participated in district profiling, an econometric modeling research project, a study on forms of injustice in Rwanda, and strategies for its prevention organized by the Office of Ombudsman and the European Union. Celestin has intervened in several research projects on Non-Communicable Diseases, surveys on the implementation of land expropriation law, and many more. Celestin started involving in epidemiological research in 2020 when he was working on research entitled “Prediction and Classification of Heart Failure in Rwanda Using Hybrid Machine Learning Algorithm”. With the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, Celestin teamed with other researchers to work on COVID-19 prediction model research entitled “Predicting the infection, evolution, and outcome of COVID-19 in Rwanda using SIR model”. He has experience in both quantitative and qualitative research and web developer with proven experience in designing and developing database-oriented apps, workflow applications, integrated systems, and server management. He is a statistical analyst using Advanced Excel, SPSS, STATA, and R. He knows CSPro, ODK, KoBo Collect, Adobe Illustrator, and Infographics. He is currently serving the Rwanda Revenue Authority in the Department of Strategy and Risk Analysis
