Rukundo Prince
Ph.D. Candicate in Computer Science and Technology from Beijing Institute of Technology. His areas of specialization lie in machine learning, artificial intelligence, data science, and software development. He holds an MSc in Information Technology and advanced certifications in digital transformation, big data analytics, AI-enhanced healthcare, and software development. He currently serves as a Senior AI Expert and Consultant at Africa Quantitative Science (AQS), leading the design and deployment of AI models for predictive analytics and cybersecurity. He also works as a senior AI consultant and software developer at TWP Africa Solutions, focusing on AI-driven agricultural solutions, and as a Senior Software Developer Consultant for the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), creating digital platforms to bridge academia and industry. His impactful work with UNICEF Frontier Technology includes leading AI initiatives to combat malnutrition in sub-Saharan Africa. Previously, as an AI Researcher and Analyst at the National Council of Science and Technology (NCST), he developed advanced image processing techniques and machine learning models, such as the CLAHE-HSV model, for COVID-19 and pneumonia detection. Prince served as ICT Director at the University of Tourism, Technology, and Business Studies, managing ICT infrastructure and cybersecurity.
